About Us:

The business started 53 years ago when Eugene & Mary Sands started selling corn. As their two boys got older over the years, and after Eugene sadly passed away, Mary urged their sons to take over selling the corn. When Ernie got married, he and his wife, Henny looked after it full time. They started selling bedding plants in the Spring, and fresh produce when it became available, selling preserves and baked goods in the interim periods.

Now, three generations after it all began, their son, Kenny and his wife, Tanya help at the farm, which is growing all the time. They now offer a "pick your own" strawberry patch, which is doing very well.

At the Frontenac Farmer's Market, they also sell products on behalf of Betsy "B" Honey, Green Barn Honey, Forman Farms (mostly tomatoes), Waddell Apples & Ooman's Bakery, all members of the Market.

Apart from at the Market every Saturday, Sands Produce is open from Mother's Day until Halloween (October 31st).
